Sri Ramakrishna High School, Mangalore

Sri Ramakrishna High School had its inception in the year 1987 with permission being granted to set up Primary and High School. The school is managed by Bunts alias Nadavara Mathr Sangha®. Late Mr. Chittranjan Shetty was the founder correspondent of the high school which had a strength of 12 students which has since grown to 400 students. We have classes from VII to X with each division having two sections. The school follows the state syllabus with Kannada as the first language, English as second language and Hindi as third language. The medium of instruction for the core subjects, Science, Maths and Social Science is English.

Sri Ramakrishna High School is a model school that treasures each student as an individual and seeks to imbibe in each of them a solid sense of self-confidence. The school encourages innovation from both students and teachers so that learning and teaching (faulting) go hand in hand and become a fruitful, enjoyable experience for both, the teacher and the taught. Any academic institution worthy of its name must take care of the basic needs of a 'growing' mind inside a 'growing' human being. Alongside studies, proper education and guidance regarding the physical, sociological and spiritual aspects of a person is very necessary for his/her all-round development. Thus, academic life at a school must be proportionately blended with co-curricular activities such as music, drama, the arts, sports etc. A progressive school such as Sri Ramakrishna High School does all this and much more.

We have various clubs to cater to the varied interests of our students, designed to bring out their latent potential. We have science, history and literary clubs. Karate, drawing, band set, tabla, sports, dance, singing, abacus and other such activities.

Teaching:

Teachers are now equipped with the most modern technology in the field of teaching i.e. EDUCOMP SOLUTIONS LTD. (Smart Class). We also have a fully furnished computer lab to enhance the interactive learning process.

Our "Old Students Association" is a very strong unit through which our former students keep close contact with their alma mater. The P.T.A takes keen interest and immerses itself in useful activity as to aid the progress of the school. We conduct many competitions to encourage and inculcate in our students the spirit of sportsmanship, self-confidence, competitive spirit, team work etc.

Through all these activities, we strive to mould the young boys and girls into upright and free thinking young citizens with the right attitude towards others in their environment. To hold their proud heads high and gamely meet all the challenges in their way.

"The past is our foundation, the present our material, the future our aim and summit. Each must have its due and natural place in a national system of education" - Aurobindo
